About Donna Lexa

Dedicated to our friend and artistic mentor, Donna Lexa.

Donna gave much of her time to Jerusalem Presbyterian Church and her dream was to make the historic building accessible to all. The dream is now a reality in a building addition that houses a lift for the elderly and disabled. The church is at 207 Main Street in Wales, one mile north of the art fair site. Built in 1912 by the Welsh farming community, Jerusalem Church is graced by some of the most beautiful stained glass windows in the area. We invite you to stop by the used book sale at Jerusalem Presbyterian Church on the same day as the art fair.

Donna’s dream is a reality

Although Donna Lexa was killed in a car accident in 1996, she remains an inspiration to many. Donna founded Community Arts Centers Inc. of Waukesha, now renamed Donna Lexa Art Centers. Her caring and creativity helped disabled people communicate through art. Her boundless enthusiasm and can-do attitude animated the congregation of Jerusalem Presbyterian Church. Her warmth vitalized her loving family. The Donna Lexa Memorial Art Fair is one of the many tributes to an undying spirit.

Proceeds from this art fair benefit local area non-profit organizations.
